My soon to be cousin, Sue Binns, once spoke of the sweet Hyundai girls. She told me that if anything, she hopes that her children will grow up to have as big of a heart as these two. And if I had to describe them, that would just about sum it up: two sisters, with two very BIG HEARTS ;)
The younger sister, Christy, is absolutely beautiful and has a smile that would brighten up any room. I fell in love with her right when I met her ;) She has a fun, spunky side to her that would lift up anyone's spirit. So it's no surprise when she chose a lemon yellow, fun dress that matches her personality. Christy fell in love with this dress the second I put it up on FB! We knew right away that dress would be deemed the My-Christy!

The My-Christy looks absolutely beautiful on Christy. It's a one shoulder dress that has a full, pleated skirt and PERFECT for any summer event!!! This yellow gingham fabric is super light and is paired with a navy blue sash.
One of my favorite combos, yellow and navy! YELLOW symbolizes sunshine, happiness, and energy. And that's everything Christy stands for.....she couldn't have picked out a better dress!!!

My heart literally dropped when I saw hydrangeas at the grocery store. I LOVE, LOVE hydrangeas, they are my absolute favorite and will definitely be partaking in my wedding ;) This might sound weird, but every time I see something that I LOVE, makes me HAPPY, or really want to BUY, I'll immediately turn to John, flash him a great big smile and hug him....something I've always done involuntarily! Right when I saw these hydrangeas, I ran up to John gave him a hug and pointed to the flowers! And yes, I'll say it again, it's the LITTLE things in life that makes me HAPPY!!!!....
It's the little things, including these cute My-Kim bags, not to mention the logo stickers on them ;) I figured dresses will go on hangers and shirts/skirts in bags.
With all this being said, one can't imagine how ecstatic I was when Tina ordered the first shirt last night, and sadly, I am wayyy more excited that I get to give her the first My-Kim bag!!!LoL...

With the gloomy weather the past few days, I went out on a mission to seek SUNflowers. It was desperately needed to brighten up the My-Kim room ;) And sure enough I found some, nothing like fresh flowers and fine wine to put a smile on my face ;)

I LOVE, LOVE this wine. I'm super obsessed w/ cabernet, and this wine is PERFECT. Rich, but not too strong ;)
Finally got the shipment of Koozies in and I LOVE, LOVE them!!! The only thing driving me crazy is how to spell it....Koozie or Coozie???? When in doubt, always pick C, but in this case I'll go with K for Kim ;)
How CUTE are these Koozies?!?! I went with the lemon yellow and hot pink and figured it would be perfect for summer!!!
And they're perfect for Cup,Steeplechase, or football games!!! It comes with each dress and if your going to an event I'll throw in a few more for your friends ;)
And I finally found an excuse to get the wicker basket stand from Pier 1!!! Whoo-hoo!!! I've been eyeing them for a while now but couldn't find a reason to buy it. I LOVE, LOVE that place! Right when I walked in, I thought I died and went to Pier 1 heaven ;) ....now if only we could get a Pottery Barn here....
John, once again, hard at work!!! The shelves came in yesterday and he had them up right after we ate...and there's no stopping him once he starts. I had to literally pry him away from the shelves so we could run to the store and get my wooden hangers :)

It took almost a year for my hobby to overtake the dining room....but slowly, and surely it did ;) John has been convincing me since last summer to convert it. But stubbornly, I kept all the Vogue pics in the closet and stacked piles and piles of fabric on the floor, table, and chairs. I always believed that creativity is MESSY and trust me, I am VERY CREATIVE!!!haha...take that how you want to, but now my creative mess is FINALLY organized!!! Granted we have to sit on the floor for dinner, it was the best decision ever ;)....

With my 1st order almost finished, I had to find something cute to put it in for my 1st customer ;) So I googled, googled, and googled some more until I came across some PINK plastic garment bags!!!! I was SO freakin' excited!LoL The only pitfall was they're only sold in BULK. But I ordered anyways and couldn't be happier with all 30 lbs of it!!!!
Granted my 1st dress is for a friend, I also thought a receipt would be nice to have. But not just any receipt of course, but a CUSTOMIZED My-Kim one!!! So again, I googled and googled until I found a company that would print not just the My-Kim logo, but a customized template as well. ANDDD, it's carbonless paper, BUTTT still makes COPIES!!!YaYyY!!... And yes, it's the small things in life that make me happy ;)
And last, but not least I finally ordered some shelves and super cute baskets from Pier1 to put all my GORGEOUS fabric in :)...time for the soon to be hubster to break out his tools again!... CAN'T WAIT till Project Sewing Room is complete!!!

hey girls, so I am SuPeR ExCiTeD about My-Kim's Look-Book Project! One of my talented friends and soon to be world renowned photographer, Ms. Lanah Bardier, inspired me to get My-Kim's Collection together and collaborate with her on Project Look-Book!!!
Between juggling a full-time marketing position and getting a collection together, I kept putting dress orders on the back burner until my collection was complete. I finally got tired of turning people down in order to finish my collection and decided why not do both at the same time?!?! With my light bulb lit, I decided to take dress orders for those interested in being in My-Kim's Look-Book!!! That way I can work on dresses for the collection, have them custom fitted to the Look-Book models, and take orders for the gals that want to rock a My-Kim ;)
For those interested, all dresses will be custom fitted to insure a perfect fit for the photo session ;) It'll be an opportunity to get photographed for free, be in a Look-Book, get a 15% discount, and last but not least, get a custom fit My-Kim!!!
