Sneak Peak at My-Kim ;)

Ok girls, we have been working our butt off to find ya’ll the cutest things at the BEST prices possible!!! Get ready, bc we’re going to have pieces for as low as $48!!!

I am in LOVE with these WRAP dresses (I ordered 2 extra ones for myself!lol)  Wrap dresses flatter any figure and I LOVE the bold and bright patterns!

A few things from market ;)

....a few things from market...

One of my favorite lines at market was also the very first place we walked into! We also ended up with the NICEST salesperson that patiently bared with us. Poor girl, we took over an hour just trying to decide on our first order! We couldn't decide how many xs, s, m, and l we needed and on top of that there were well over 30+ fabric/pattern choices!

This line came from a young artist out of Maryland. This is her FIRST year launching a clothing line and she uses her original paintings as the pattern choices for fabric. All of the fabric choices are bold and bright and the styles are PERFECT for southern proper attire. Her designs are VERY similar to Lilly, but at a fraction of the cost ;)  
These are just a few of her designs and we ordered A LOT more cute, fun patterns and styles!!!

How cute are these scallop shorts?!?!

... I looked for these exact shorts ALL summer last year and the boutiques were ALWAYS OUT!!! You can't imagine how excited I was to find them at market!


White shorts have always been a staple for me, so I couldn't have been happier to find them scalloped and topped off with gold buttons...


Anddd we even got them in red and blue seersucker too ;)

...these lightweight, pleated shorts would be GREAT for a hot summer day...you can either dress them down with some rainbows or up with some jacks! Whichever way, their super cute and once again, I LOVE, LOVE the gold buttons!

…the new and improved logo for the 3^rd and LAST time (hopefully)…  Third time’s a charm so I think this one’s a keeper!!! BIG THANKS to John Kim for creating our perfect logo and dealing with my pickiness on the design and font…LOVE you sweetie ;)

The My-Kim Line in the works ;)

....the FIRST few pieces of the My-Kim Line!!!...

...since I'm pretty obsessed with skirts, and it being the in between for EVERY Dress Code, we are going to launch the line with the My-Courtney Mini skirt...

My-Courtney Mini Skirt

The My-Courtney mini skirt has pockets, gold buttons, and will come in these FUN colors:

Colors: orange/red coral, sea mint green, bubblegum pink, and royal navy

The My-Courtney Pencil skirt will also be offered in Royal Navy Blue and be a little longer, hitting right above the knee.

The My-Michelle skirt has an elastic waistband, pockets, and a sash that is sewn into the skirt. (the sash will be half an inch thicker then this sample one!) 

And this adorable skirt will be available in all of these fun patterns:

The My-Erika Dress is a strapless, sweetheart dress that will come in the 2 patterns below.  The material used is thicker then cotton and perfect for making you look even slimmer ;)

The My-Erika will come with a one looped sash, similar to the picture below.  One side of the sash will be the same material as the dress and the other side a complementary, light yellow!!!

These are all the styles currently being produced and we're also working on a maxi style and some more mini skirt designs.  All of these styles have a limited quantity to ensure exclusivity, so anyone is more then welcome to place a pre-order!!!

My-Kim Update ;)

….just a little update for those who are wondering what is going on with My-Kim. We are planning to open a store in downtown Columbia on Devine st. this spring ;)  Half of the store will carry an independently designed/ manufactured My-Kim line. And the other half will be a mixture of designer retail. We are aiming to open an affordable boutique that not only carries Southern proper, preppy clothes, but also fun, night out on the town clothes! Scheduled to open late March, early April so STAY TUNED for more info.!!!

As small as we are trying to start out, it has been SOOOO much hard work!!! It doesn’t matter how early I wake up or how late I go to bed, there is always a TON of things to get done...  And this leads me to my next topic….

Since I’ve been way over my head trying to launch My-Kim, I decided to partner with my HARDWORKING college friend!!!

...Ms. Wing She…

aka: Chicken Wing, Wing-a-Ling, Wang, Wingy Bingy

If there is one characteristic of Wing, it’s definitely her tenacity. She is basically a sister to me and I’ve always looked up to her for being so disciplined. Holding a fulltime job as a pharmacist, Wing comes over on her days off and we’re continuously working f/m 9 in the morning ‘till 12 at night.  And as bad as this sounds, she is the one pushing me to work harder!lol

It’s so funny how things work out…as we sit in front of the computer, spending HOURS to complete our business plan, I couldn’t help but to think deja vu!!! Taking me back to the college days when we’d stare at the computer fixing our essays or looking over lecture notes on Blackboard.  It’s crazy to think about the countless times we would sip on Starbucks and nervously talk about exams and now we're discussing real estate contracts and bank funding over coffee!lol

I do feel like some people are divinely connected and I couldn’t be more blessed to have her as my business partner…and from her obsession of shoes/purses to my obsession with clothes, we couldn’t make a more perfect pair ;)
