My-Kim Collection is officially OPEN!

What an exciting day it was – full of shopping, petit fours, lemonade, family, friends and laughter.

Michelle's delish lemonade and pretty setup ;)

With all bows perfectly tied and mannequins dressed to the nines, we pulled down the paper hanging in our front windows and exposed Columbia to their first taste of the My-Kim Collection!

It didn’t take long for customers to notice our brightly colored balloons out front. Our first customer stopped by just minutes after we opened. She saw our grand opening announcement on Facebook and just HAD to come visit!

Like all first-day customers, we made sure she put her name in for the bow shirt drawing, and she was very patient while we figured out exactly how to work our check-out system! (It’s much harder than it looks! ;)

Our bright colored fabrics seemed to be a hit with everyone. One customer said she loved the fact that there was no black in the store – just a sea of mints, corals, fuchsias and limes! After all, it’s summertime, and we want all our customers to start the season in the trendiest fashions!

With the help of a few male customers, and John, of course, we were able to get our My-Kim sign up around lunch time. What a great addition it is to the store. Many thanks to Melissa Crook for working so hard to finish it for the big opening!

We are so thankful for the love and support on our opening day. Thanks to all the customers who were patient with us while we were learning and for making the grand opening such a success.

We are getting new styles and designs in daily, and many of the My-Kim pieces will be here within the next few weeks, so be sure to stop by all the time, so you don’t miss out on any of the amazing pieces!

We are so excited to FINALLY have everything up and running, and we are looking forward to a great first year. Be sure to stop by My-Kim at 2716 Devine St – you won’t regret it! ;)
