SPRING FABRIC FOR TOP HALF IN!!!!

Sprucing up a BOLD pattern with a BOLD color can only make for the perfect My-Kim Dress!!!!  I've never settled for subtle, and would MUCH rather stand out then blend in.  I was SO EXCITED when I found these GREAT, unique patterns and now even MORE EXCITED that I can top it off with a VIBRANT colored top.  ColoR has always been key and if played with just right, can make the most beautiful dress ;)


The solid color represents the top half of the dress, and the bottom patterned fabric represents the bottom part of the dress.  If glanced over, it may appear like a bunch of colorful fabric neatly folded.  But I particularly get SO EXCITED when I look at this layout, bc all I see are gorgeous dresses waiting to be sewed!!!  In fact, I LOVE, LOVE the layout so much I didn't want to put it away.  Poor John gets home from work and barely makes it to the bedroom.  Right when he walks in, instead of getting greeted by the custom hug, kiss, and "How ws ur day sweetie?",  he gets a shrilling scream fm the bedroom "BABY, DONT STEP ON MY FABRIC PLEASE"  hahaha!!!  I'm sure he thinks I'm absolutely crazy by now, but loves, loves me none-the-less ;)

SEWING ROOM PROJECT CONT.....

This is what happens when an engineer attempts to hang decorations on a wall: first, he draws out the dimensions of the wall.  then, he measures the frames and calculates where each frame would have to be placed so that every single frame is proportioned perfectly. Once, the calculations are done, the hammer finally meets the nail!!!  But it doesn't stop there, the engineer then proceeds to whip out his handy dandy laser lever in order to make sure         each frame is level.  Once all frames are hung, don't hold your breath, bc they have to be measured  once again!!! hahaha  I LOVE, LOVE my engineer, a perfectionist to say the least.  It's definitely a tedious process, but worth it in the end :) 
Every decoration has been hung that way since we've moved in together 5 yrs ago!!!  But don't be fooled, although a tedious process, he is QUICK!!!These frames were put up in 30 min, the day I got home with the frames ;)

These are some of the sewing books John got me once I started my hobby!!!  The  BIG fat one on the bottom left is an actual fashion school textbook!!! LOVE, LOVE him ;)

I can never have enough ZIPPERS!lol  Big Thanks to Michelle's giftcard, I stocked up on more thread and zippers!!!!
